SilentDirect Neo – Effective Vibration Damping and Noise Control
SilentDirect Neo is a versatile solution for reducing vibrations and minimizing unwanted noise in both industrial and residential settings. The product is made of high-quality nitrile rubber (NBR) and is specifically designed to address structure-borne noise—that is, sound transmitted through materials and structures. When installed correctly, SilentDirect Neo contributes to a quieter, more stable, and more pleasant acoustic environment.
Reduces vibrations and structure-borne noise at the source
A significant portion of disruptive noise arises from vibrations in machinery, structures, and installations. SilentDirect Neo acts as an effective vibration damper by absorbing and breaking up these movements before they propagate further. This reduces structure-borne noise from, for example, compressors, pumps, fans, ventilation systems, and machine foundations, thereby improving both the work environment and comfort.
Suitable for a wide range of applications
SilentDirect Neo is used in a wide range of applications where vibrations and noise need to be controlled. In industry, it is an effective choice for isolating machinery and reducing noise from production equipment. In ventilation systems, it helps reduce vibrations that would otherwise propagate through ducts and building components.
In construction and interior design projects, the material can be installed on walls, floors, and ceilings to dampen vibrations and improve the perceived acoustic environment. The product is also suitable for workbenches, utility rooms, and other surfaces where stability and sound control are important.
Self-adhesive and easy to install
SilentDirect Neo features a self-adhesive backing that makes installation quick and easy. The material can be easily cut or trimmed to the desired shape and size, offering great flexibility when mounting on both horizontal and vertical surfaces. For more demanding environments, installation can be supplemented with mechanical fasteners or specialized adhesive.
Durable material for demanding environments
The nitrile rubber in SilentDirect Neo has an open-cell structure that effectively absorbs vibrations while being durable and long-lasting. The material is water-repellent and withstands humid environments without deteriorating. For outdoor use or environments with constant moisture, supplementary fastening is recommended to ensure long-term performance.
Safety and Temperature Resistance
SilentDirect Neo is naturally flame-retardant and melts rather than burns, which increases safety when used in both industrial and residential environments. The product has a temperature resistance range from -50°C to +110°C, making it suitable for both cold and hot installations where materials are exposed to significant temperature fluctuations.
Flexible solution with multiple thicknesses
SilentDirect Neo is available in multiple thicknesses to accommodate various needs and soundproofing requirements. The black, discreet design allows the material to blend into most environments without affecting the visual appearance. Each box contains 12 sheets measuring 50x40 cm, totaling 2.4 m².
Why customers choose SilentDirect Neo
SilentDirect Neo is a reliable choice when you need to reduce vibrations and control structure-borne noise at the source. The combination of effective damping, easy installation, and high material quality makes the product a long-term solution for both professional and private users. The result is a more stable structure and a significantly improved acoustic environment.

Hi zjwvane,
Thank you for your message.
I’ll share a few articles from our knowledge base that show effective solutions to your problem:
https://silentdirect.com/en/page/hur-ljuddampar-och-ljudisolerar-man-ett-fonster
(How to soundproof and insulate a window)
https://silentdirect.com/en/page/flyttbar-ljudisolerad-skarm-for-fonster
(How to build a removable soundproof screen for windows)

(How to soundproof a room – a complete guide)
https://silentdirect.com/en/page/hur-ljuddampar-man-ett-rum-med-ljudabsorbenter
(And how to create a better sound environment with sound absorbers)
The products I recommend are:
Sound insulation - SilentDirect MLV
(In any construction where you want to soundproof, it works as a barrier)
Sound Insulation - SilentDirect Egg
(As a sound-absorbing layer, it uses the same material as Neo but is more effective due to its patterned front)
These are the main components of any sound-insulating construction.
For more details, please read the articles.
To reduce echo and improve the acoustics in your room, you instead want a softer, less dense product, such as:
Sound absorption for ceiling – PES ceiling
These are the solutions I can recommend.
Sound-absorbing curtains, or even better, sound-absorbing room dividers, are good complementary solutions. However, they only act as insulation for your windows when closed, and even then, they will never completely soundproof your windows.
If you’re looking for a simpler solution that creates a more effective barrier, I recommend industrial sound barriers (if style and appearance are not a concern):
Soundproof noise barrier – SilentDirect Sound Barrier 2.48m
I hope this was helpful.

Have a great day,

Dämpa vibrationer: Placera SilentDirect Dampio under pumpens fötter.

https://silentdirect.se/sv/page/hur-ljudisolerar-och-ljuddampar-man-en-vagg
