Sound-absorbing panels featuring people and portraits – personal expression with controlled acoustics

Motifs of people and portraits create presence, identity, and emotional anchoring in a room. Faces, expressions, and body language capture attention in a way that few other motifs can. With sound-absorbing panels featuring motifs of people and portraits from SilentDirect, this strong visual expression is combined with effective sound absorption, creating an environment that both feels and sounds better.

In rooms where people meet, talk, or work together, reverberation can quickly become stressful. Hard surfaces such as glass, concrete, and plaster reflect sound and cause voices to bounce around the room. Our sound-absorbing panels reduce these sound reflections and contribute to a more balanced sound environment, while the portrait motifs give the room character and personality.

Portraits that create presence and tell a story

Portraits and human motifs often evoke recognition, curiosity, and emotions. They can be expressive, understated, artistic, or documentary, and work equally well in private homes and professional environments. In living rooms, home offices, and creative workspaces, they add a personal touch, while in offices, meeting rooms, hotels, and public environments, they create a more human and inviting atmosphere.

By combining these motifs with sound-absorbing properties, the room not only gains a visual focus, but also improved acoustic conditions that make it easier to communicate and spend time in the environment for longer periods.

Effective sound absorption for a better conversation environment

The sound-absorbing core of SilentDirect's panels is designed to reduce reverberation in rooms with many hard surfaces. When sound reflections are reduced, the room feels calmer and more controlled. Voices become clearer, background noise less distracting, and the overall soundscape more pleasant.

By strategically placing several panels, the acoustics can be adapted to the size and use of the room. This makes sound-absorbing panels with portrait motifs a flexible solution that does not require renovation or permanent alterations.

Premium printing with high detail reproduction

Portraits require high precision in both color and detail. That is why all sound-absorbing panels are produced using HP Latex technology, which provides sharp contours, smooth transitions, and accurate skin tone reproduction. Printing is done with water-based, odorless, and Greenguard Gold-certified inks, making the panels suitable even for sensitive indoor environments.

The resolution is adjusted up to 300 dpi depending on the format, ensuring that facial features, gazes, and expressions are reproduced with high accuracy. The colors are UV-resistant and retain their quality over time.

Canvas fabric that affects expression and feel

The paintings are available on two types of canvas with a weight of 260 g/m². The polyester canvas has a smooth and modern surface that provides maximum sharpness and contrast, which is particularly suitable for graphic portraits, photographic motifs, and environments where the painting is exposed to more wear and tear.

The cotton canvas has a more matte surface with a natural texture that provides a softer, more artistic expression. It is well suited for portraits where you want to emphasize a painterly or tactile impression and is often used in homes, gallery-like environments, and representative rooms.

Stable construction and easy installation

Each sound-absorbing panel is mounted on a solid pine frame that provides stability and durability. Smaller formats up to 70×50 cm have a 15 mm frame, while larger formats from 90×60 cm and up have a stronger 20 mm frame. The canvas tension is carefully adjusted to ensure that the panel retains its shape over time.

There are 6 to 8 CNC-milled keyholes on the back, depending on the size. In most cases, one or two screws are sufficient for secure and stable mounting, making installation easy and convenient.
