Sound-absorbing panels featuring cityscapes and skylines – urban aesthetics with improved acoustics

Cities and skylines convey energy, structure, and identity. Silhouettes of well-known cities, modern skyline motifs, and architectural views give the room a clear visual expression that is often associated with movement, creativity, and contemporary design. With sound-absorbing panels featuring city and skyline motifs from SilentDirect, this urban design language is combined with effective sound absorption, creating an environment that both looks good and functions better acoustically.

In rooms with many hard surfaces, sound can bounce between walls, ceilings, and floors, creating reverberations that affect both concentration and well-being. When sound reflections are dampened, the room feels calmer and more balanced, without losing its character. City motifs thus become not just a decorative detail, but a functional part of the room as a whole.

City motifs that enhance the identity of the room

City and skyline motifs work particularly well in environments where you want to convey professionalism, forward thinking, or an international feel. In offices, conference rooms, and coworking spaces, they contribute to a modern and structured impression. In the home, city motifs can create associations with travel, lifestyle, and personal memories, while giving the room a clear visual direction.

In public environments such as hotels, reception areas, restaurants, and lounges, skylines create a recognizable and engaging expression. At the same time, their sound-absorbing properties help conversations to be heard more clearly and background noise to be less stressful.

Sound absorption that reduces reverberation

SilentDirect's sound-absorbing panels with city motifs are designed to reduce reverberation in rooms where the acoustics would otherwise be harsh. The sound-absorbing core captures sound waves and reduces reflections from smooth surfaces such as glass, concrete, and plaster.

When reverberation is reduced, speech intelligibility improves and the overall sound environment becomes more pleasant. By placing several panels in the same room, the effect can be adapted to the size, shape, and use of the room without the need for permanent alterations.

Premium printing for architectural details

Urban motifs place high demands on detail reproduction and contrast. That is why all sound-absorbing panels are produced using HP Latex technology and water-based, odorless, and Greenguard Gold-certified inks. This technology provides sharp lines, smooth tone transitions, and high color precision.

The resolution is adjusted up to 300 dpi depending on the format, which means that buildings, light reflections, and silhouettes are reproduced with high accuracy. The colors are UV-resistant and retain their intensity even in bright environments.

Canvas adapted to the environment and expression

The canvases are available in two types of canvas, both with a weight of 260 g/m². The polyester canvas has a smooth surface that is particularly well suited for graphic skylines and motifs with clear lines and contrasts. It gives a modern and clean look.

The cotton canvas has a matte surface with a natural texture that can give city motifs a softer and more artistic look. Regardless of the choice of canvas, the printing technique provides a durable surface with long-lasting color intensity.

Stable construction and easy installation

Each sound-absorbing panel is mounted on a solid pine frame that provides stability and durability. Smaller formats up to 70×50 cm have a 15 mm frame, while larger formats from 90×60 cm and up have a stronger 20 mm frame for increased stability.

There are 6 to 8 CNC-milled keyholes on the back, depending on the size. In most cases, one or two screws are sufficient for secure mounting, making installation easy and flexible.

Create an urban whole with a controlled sound environment

With sound-absorbing panels featuring city and skyline motifs from SilentDirect, you can create an environment where visual identity and function work together. The panels give the room character, reduce reverberation, and contribute to a more pleasant sound environment in both private and public contexts.

Compare the crop before choosing a size

A broad silhouette and a dense street scene need different amounts of space for their details to read clearly. Look at where buildings meet the image edges and whether sky or water occupies much of the composition. Try the picture’s outer dimensions against the clear wall and choose by the actual image rather than the city’s name alone.
