Sound-absorbing panels with floral and plant motifs – the tranquility of nature combined with effective acoustics

Floral and plant motifs have a unique ability to create calm, balance, and harmony in a room. At the same time, many of the environments where nature motifs are most suitable are also places where sound reflections and reverberations can have a negative impact on well-being. With sound-absorbing panels featuring floral and plant motifs from SilentDirect, you get a solution that combines effective sound absorption with a soft and natural visual expression.

The panels reduce reverberation and dampen disturbing sounds, while the motifs add life, color, and a feeling of closeness to nature to the room. The result is a balanced whole where acoustics and aesthetics work together to create a more pleasant environment to be in.

Nature motifs that create calm and well-being

Flowers and plants have long been used in interior design to create a calm and inviting atmosphere. Soft shapes, organic lines and natural colour palettes shape the image’s visual character. Acoustic wall art combines the image with a sound-absorbing construction that can reduce reverberation. The artwork’s construction, rather than the plant depicted, determines its sound absorption.

The motifs can consist of anything from close-ups of foliage and flowers to botanical compositions and lush plant environments. They are particularly well suited to rooms where you want to create calm, relaxation, and focus, without the interior design feeling intrusive or dominant.

Effective sound absorption for a more pleasant sound environment

SilentDirect's sound-absorbing panels with floral and plant motifs are designed to reduce reverberation in rooms with hard surfaces such as glass, concrete, plaster, and wood. The sound-absorbing design captures sound waves and reduces reflections that can otherwise create a stressful soundscape.

When reverberation is reduced, the room feels quieter and more balanced. Conversations become clearer, background noise less distracting, and the overall sound level more pleasant. By combining several panels, the sound environment can be adapted to the size and function of the room without the need for structural measures.

Premium printing that reproduces nature's details with precision

All sound-absorbing panels featuring flowers and plants are produced using HP Latex technology, which provides high color precision, smooth transitions, and clear detail reproduction. Printing is done with water-based, odorless, and GREENGUARD Gold-certified inks that are safe to use in both private and public environments.

The resolution is adjusted up to 300 DPI depending on the format, ensuring that details such as leaf structures, petals, and natural color variations are reproduced accurately. The colors are UV-resistant and retain their intensity even in bright rooms, making the panels a long-lasting visual feature.

Canvas fabric that enhances the natural look

Sound-absorbing paintings with floral and plant motifs are available on two types of canvas, both with a weight of 260 g/m². The polyester canvas provides a smooth and modern surface with high color precision, which is well suited for bright colors and detailed nature motifs. The surface is easy to maintain and can be wiped gently if necessary.

The cotton canvas has a matt surface with a natural texture that gives a softer and more vivid expression. It is particularly well suited for botanical motifs and compositions where a more artistic feel is desired. Regardless of the canvas type, the printing technique provides a durable surface with long-lasting color intensity.

Acoustic core with documented performance

The sound-absorbing function is based on an acoustic core made from at least 50 percent recycled polyester. The core material has a weight per unit area of approximately 450–600 g/m². It is designed to absorb sound waves and reduce reverberation in the room.

A 4 mm protective board made of CE, M1, and PEFC-certified wood is mounted on the back, providing stability and protecting the construction. The combination of canvas fabric, acoustic core, and protective board provides even and reliable sound absorption across the entire surface of the board.

Stable frame and easy mounting

Each sound-absorbing board is mounted on a solid pine frame that provides high stability and long life. Smaller formats up to 70×50 cm have a 15 mm thick frame, while larger formats from 90×60 cm and up are mounted on a stronger 20 mm thick frame. The precise canvas tension ensures that the board retains its shape over time.

For easy and secure hanging, the boards are equipped with 6 to 8 CNC-milled keyholes on the back, depending on size. In most cases, one or two screws are sufficient for stable mounting, making installation quick and easy.
