Sound-absorbing panels featuring classic paintings – timeless art and improved acoustics

Classic paintings give a room a sense of history, balance, and craftsmanship. At the same time, it is often in modern homes and work environments that sound becomes tiresome. Glass, plaster, concrete, and open floor plans cause voices and footsteps to bounce around and create reverberation. With sound-absorbing panels featuring motifs from classic paintings from SilentDirect, you get timeless imagery combined with effective sound absorption.

Motifs that give the room character

Classic motifs serve as a clear focal point in a minimalist room and can also tie together colors and materials in a warmer interior. In an acoustic panel, the image becomes more than just decoration. It contributes to a whole that both looks more thoughtful and feels calmer to be in.

Sound absorption that makes speech clearer

Reverberation occurs when sound waves reflect between hard surfaces. This can make speech unclear and increase background noise. The sound-absorbing core of the panels captures some of the sound and reduces the reflections that build up reverberation, often resulting in a more controlled soundscape in everyday life.

Prints and materials that reproduce the classic look

The panels are produced using HP Latex technology, with water-based, odorless, and GREENGUARD Gold-certified inks that are suitable even for sensitive indoor environments. The resolution is adjusted up to 300 DPI depending on the format, so that the image retains its sharpness even at close range.

You can choose between two canvas fabrics, both 260 g/m². The polyester fabric provides a smooth and modern surface where contrasts and shades appear clearly. The cotton fabric has a matte surface with a natural texture that often enhances the artistic feel. The print is UV-resistant and made to maintain color intensity over time.

Stable construction and easy hanging

Each canvas is mounted on a solid pine frame for stability and durability. Smaller formats up to 70×50 cm have a 15 mm frame, while larger formats from 90×60 cm and up have a 20 mm frame. For quick mounting, there are 6 to 8 CNC-milled keyholes on the back depending on size, and in most cases, one or two screws are sufficient for stable hanging.

Create a calm environment with timeless art and controlled acoustics

When you choose sound-absorbing panels with classic paintings, you get a tool for shaping how the room is experienced, both visually and acoustically. The result is an environment where conversations flow more easily and where the wall takes on a character that lasts over time.

Choose by colour, focal point and the picture's story

Start with the image itself when comparing classic paintings. Where does your eye go first, and which colours hold the composition together? A motif with a distinct centre can become the room's focal point, while a more even distribution of shapes and tones can create a more cohesive background impression. Judge both the whole from a distance and the details that become visible as you move closer.

You are choosing a printed image on canvas, rather than an original painting with layers of paint applied to it. Brushstrokes and other artistic details are reproduced in the image and work with the surface of your chosen canvas. Compare the product image's palette and crop when choosing a version. Let the individual motif guide you rather than assuming that everything described as classic has the same expression.

Give the motif space within the room

Try the picture's outer dimensions against the clear wall area and consider its position in relation to furniture, doors and other pictures. A recurring colour can connect a classic motif with a modern interior. When hanging several pictures together, similar tones or calm spaces between them can help the group feel like a whole. Always check the actual sizes on each product page before deciding on the position.
