Durability - Very high durability
Silent Socks furniture glides have undergone rigorous testing at SP, the Swedish Technical Research Institute in Borås, to ensure high quality and durability. A comparative study was conducted between Silent Socks and some standard furniture glides/felt pads, and the results show that Silent Socks exhibit outstanding durability.

In the test, a chair, loaded with 50 kg, was subjected to back-and-forth movements over a distance of 40 cm in each direction. Impressively, the test was halted after 40,000 cycles, and Silent Socks were still completely intact. The next-best pads in the test broke after only 23,000 cycles. This test was performed on a linoleum floor and clearly demonstrates Silent Socks’ superior durability.

Easy to install and wash
Installing Silent Socks furniture pads is simple and requires no tools. They attach quickly and easily to chair or table legs, and there is no need to remove the original internal or external plastic pads on steel tube legs before installation. Thanks to the internal support, Silent Socks still stay securely attached to the furniture.

To maintain Silent Socks and keep them in optimal condition, we recommend vacuuming them when they get dusty. For more stubborn dirt, they are easy to wash. Simply remove the entire Silent Socks, including the inner rubber ball, from the chair or table legs and wash the product in the washing machine on the wool cycle at 30–40°C. After washing, tumble dry the Silent Socks until they are dry. For best results, let them air dry in a warm, well-ventilated area for a few hours before reattaching them to the chairs or tables.
