OEKO-TEX-certified acoustic fabric – removable and washable

SilentDirect Bulletin is covered with a durable OEKO-TEX-certified acoustic fabric that combines high durability with easy care. The fabric is removable and can be washed at up to 40°C using a gentle cycle in the machine or by hand. It must not be bleached, tumble-dried, or mangled, but can be ironed at a low temperature up to 110°C and is also approved for dry cleaning.

The fabric is designed for acoustic applications and does not negatively affect sound absorption. This ensures that the bulletin board retains its sound-absorbing properties throughout its entire lifespan.

Multiple mounting options

SilentDirect Bulletin can be ordered with several different mounting solutions depending on wall type, aesthetic preferences, and acoustic requirements.

Without mounting accessories
This option provides complete freedom to use your own mounting method, such as adhesive, screws, or another solution tailored to the wall’s construction.

With mounting brackets
When mounting with mounting brackets, 4 mounting brackets are included with each bulletin board. Choose between mounting brackets – 0mm spacing for flush mounting or mounting brackets – 50mm spacing, which creates an approximately 50mm air gap between the wall and the bulletin board. The air gap contributes to improved sound absorption.

With concealed mounting brackets
The bulletin board can also be supplied with CNC-milled keyhole brackets in MDF that are permanently glued to the back with 100% solid, solvent-free adhesive. The number of brackets is adjusted according to the panel’s size and provides a stable and discreet installation without visible hardware.

What is the difference between mounting brackets – 0mm thickness and mounting brackets – 50mm spacing?

The choice between mounting brackets – 0mm depth and mounting brackets – 50mm spacing is about balancing aesthetics and acoustic performance.

Mounting brackets – 0mm clearance mount the bulletin board directly against the wall and extend approximately 60mm, creating a sleek and discreet look.

Mounting brackets – 50 mm spacing extend an additional approximately 50 mm and create an air gap between the wall and the bulletin board. The total projection is then approximately 110 mm, which further improves sound absorption and provides even better acoustic performance.

In summary, mounting brackets – 50mm spacing provide the best acoustic performance, while mounting brackets – 0mm spacing are the best choice when a more wall-hugging and discreet installation is prioritized.

Acoustic test: The same sound-absorbing core as SilentDirect PES

SilentDirect Bulletin is based on the same type of high-performance polyester core used in SilentDirect’s sound absorbers for walls and ceilings. The core is designed to effectively absorb sound reflections and reduce reverberation in rooms where speech intelligibility and acoustic comfort are important.

In an acoustic test conducted in a 24 m² studio, a total of 4.026 m² of polyester-based sound absorbers from SilentDirect were installed, corresponding to approximately 16.8% of the floor area. The absorbers were placed on walls and ceilings to reduce echo, reverberation, and harsh sound reflections. The result was a significantly improved sound environment with better speech intelligibility and reduced sound diffusion in the room.

Since SilentDirect Bulletin uses the same type of sound-absorbing polyester core, it is based on the same acoustic principles used in SilentDirect’s other sound-absorbing products.
