Ceiling Absorber for Industrial Use – PES Ceiling Industry
SilentDirect PES Ceiling Industry is a robust and effective ceiling absorber developed for sound absorption in industrial environments where noise from machinery, tools, production, and technical equipment often creates a stressful acoustic environment. The product is specifically designed for workshops, warehouses, production halls, and other work environments where reverberation and sound reflections need to be reduced with a durable, long-term acoustic solution.
The absorber is available in five sizes: 592x592 mm, 800x800 mm, 1000x1000 mm, 1200x600 mm, and 1200x900 mm. All sizes are 50 mm thick and made of 100% polyester. The compact needle-punched surface provides excellent durability, making the product well-suited for rugged environments where functionality, durability, and easy maintenance are key factors.
Effective sound absorption in industrial environments
In industrial facilities, strong sound reflections often occur from hard surfaces such as concrete, sheet metal, steel beams, and machinery. When sound bounces between ceilings, walls, and floors, reverberation builds up, making the acoustic environment more stressful and potentially impairing both communication and concentration.
SilentDirect PES Ceiling Industry absorbs sound directly at the ceiling, where a large portion of the reflections occur. When sound energy is captured early in the room, the acoustic environment becomes more controlled, speech intelligibility improves, and the perceived noise burden decreases. This makes the product an effective choice in production environments where many sound sources interact.
Smooth and flexible installation
SilentDirect PES Ceiling Industry can be installed in several different ways depending on the ceiling’s construction and the room’s acoustic needs. The absorber can be mounted flush against the ceiling or with a spacer to create an air gap, which further improves sound absorption.
The 592x592 mm size is designed for standard grid ceilings and works for both new installations and as a replacement in existing suspended ceiling systems. The larger sizes can be installed freely using brackets, wire, screws, or adhesive depending on installation requirements, ceiling height, and the desired look.
Durable and safe construction
SilentDirect PES Ceiling Industry is made from 100% polyester, at least 30% of which consists of recycled material. The product is free from adhesives, irritating fibers, and harmful chemicals, making it safe to use in work environments where indoor air quality, operational reliability, and long service life are important.
The material is odorless, mold-resistant, and is not adversely affected by humidity. The absorbent is also fire-rated according to B-s1, d0 and CE-marked in accordance with European standards for construction products. This makes it suitable for industrial environments where safety, sustainability, and functionality must work together.
Customized to your needs – sizes and technical information
SilentDirect PES Ceiling Industry is available in the sizes 592x592 mm, 800x800 mm, 1000x1000 mm, 1200x600 mm, and 1200x900 mm. All absorbers have a thickness of 50 mm and a durable needle-punched surface designed to provide effective sound absorption even in more demanding environments.
The various formats make it possible to tailor the solution to both smaller, targeted applications and larger ceiling areas. The absorbers can be used as standalone units or combined with wall absorbers for a more comprehensive acoustic solution in industrial environments.
Installation Options
SilentDirect PES Ceiling Industry offers several installation options to suit different types of ceilings, environments, and installation requirements.
Without mounting accessories
This option means that no mounting hardware is included, giving you complete freedom to use your own fasteners such as adhesive, screws, or other solutions tailored to the ceiling’s construction.
With mounting brackets
When installing with mounting brackets, 4 mounting brackets are included for the sizes 592x592 mm, 800x800 mm, and 1000x1000 mm, as well as 6 mounting brackets for other sizes. Choose between mounting brackets – 0 mm spacing for ceiling-close mounting or mounting brackets – 50 mm spacing, which creates a 50 mm air gap for increased sound absorption.
With wire suspension
When selecting wire suspension, the following is included cable kit designed for stable suspension. Each kit contains a coil spring, a wire with a loop, and a carabiner with an adjustable clamp. Hooks for ceiling mounting are not included and must be selected based on the specific ceiling structure.
What is the difference between mounting brackets – 0 mm spacing and mounting brackets – 50 mm spacing?
Mounting brackets – 0 mm spacing mount the absorber directly against the ceiling without an air gap. This provides a discreet, ceiling-hugging installation where the sound absorber protrudes approximately 50 mm, corresponding to the absorber’s thickness.
Mounting brackets – 50 mm spacing create an air gap of approximately 50 mm between the sound absorber and the ceiling, resulting in a total projection of approximately 100 mm. The air gap improves sound absorption and is recommended in industrial spaces with high ceilings or where maximum acoustic performance is desired.
The choice between mounting brackets – 0 mm gap and mounting brackets – 50 mm spacing is a matter of balancing discreet installation with the highest possible sound-absorbing effect. For the best acoustic results, spaced brackets are recommended, while gap brackets are suitable when a look closer to the ceiling is prioritized.
