Hexagonal sound absorber – velvet
Hexagonal sound absorbers covered in velvet are an effective and design-conscious solution for improving acoustics in both private and public environments. The geometric hexagonal shape creates a modern visual expression while helping to break up sound reflections from walls and ceilings. The velvet-covered surface gives an exclusive and soft impression that fits well in environments where both aesthetics and sound comfort are important. The absorber is available in several colors and in sizes 30x26 cm and 40x35 cm, with a total thickness of 25 mm.
Velvet is a dense and supple textile material with a short pile that feels luxurious and cozy. Combined with the sound-absorbing core, this creates a product that both improves the sound environment and adds clear design value to the room.
Polyurethane foam – optimized for acoustic environments
The core of the sound absorber consists of polyurethane foam, also known as acoustic foam. The material's open cell structure allows sound waves to be effectively absorbed when they hit the surface, reducing echo and reverberation. Polyurethane foam is often used in sound-sensitive environments such as recording studios, home theaters, and creative workspaces where a more controlled and balanced sound image is desired.
The combination of acoustic foam and the fabric-covered surface provides pleasant sound absorption without making the room feel visually dull.
Create acoustic balance in different environments
The hexagonal sound absorber is designed for environments where sound bounces between hard surfaces and creates disturbing reflections. In office environments, it contributes to better concentration, clearer conversations, and reduced noise stress. In schools and educational facilities, it improves study conditions and speech perception, while in home environments it creates a calmer atmosphere in living rooms, bedrooms, and home offices.
The product is also used to great advantage in yoga studios, dance studios, music studios, and other creative environments where both acoustics and form play a crucial role. The hexagonal shape makes it possible to create patterns, clusters, and larger acoustic surfaces with an architectural expression.
Flexible placement for walls and ceilings
The sound absorber is designed to work equally well when mounted on walls or ceilings. The well-thought-out design allows for great freedom in placement and makes it easy to adapt the solution to the conditions of the room, regardless of whether the goal is to improve acoustics, create a harmonious expression, or combine both.

Installation of sound absorbers on walls
Installation is adapted to the type of wall, the size of the absorber, and the desired end result. The sound absorbers can be mounted with picture hooks, double-sided mounting tape, Velcro (using both male and female), mounting adhesive, steel wire, or French Z-hangers (Z-brackets/clips) that are mounted behind the absorber for a concealed installation. Velcro tape can be a good option when flexible or removable mounting on smooth surfaces is required. Mounting hardware is not included and must be purchased separately.
Installation of sound absorbers on ceilings
Sound absorbers can also be mounted on ceilings if the correct mounting method is used and the substrate is suitable. For ceiling mounting, we recommend mounting adhesive intended for upward-facing surfaces or mechanical suspension behind the absorber. Double-sided mounting tape is not recommended for ceiling mounting. Mounting hardware is not included and must be purchased separately.
Customized to your needs – sizes and design
Hexagonal sound absorbers with velvet are available in sizes 30x26 cm and 40x35 cm. The total thickness is 25 mm, achieved through a combination of a stable backing, polyurethane foam, and a velvet-covered surface. The design provides good dimensional stability, long life, and a durable surface that retains its appearance even with continuous use.
Design and acoustics in thoughtful harmony
Hexagonal sound absorbers in velvet are an excellent choice when you want to combine effective sound absorption with a modern and exclusive design. They can be used individually as decorative elements or combined in larger patterns to create both visual dynamics and improved acoustics. The result is a more balanced sound environment where function and design interact in a natural way.
