SilentDirect PES Ceiling is made from 100% polyester, at least 30% of which is recycled material. The product is completely free from adhesives, irritating fibers, and harmful chemicals, making it particularly suitable for sensitive indoor environments such as schools, healthcare facilities, and homes. It is allergy-friendly, odorless, and mold-resistant, and is not affected by humidity – making it a safe choice in environments where both health and sustainability are important. The product is fire rated according to B-s1, d0 and CE marked in accordance with several European building product standards.

SilentDirect PES Ceiling is available in three sizes: 592x592mm, 1200x600mm, and 1200x900mm – all with a thickness of 50mm. The smaller size is compatible with grid ceilings, while the larger ones can be freely mounted with any suspension method. The absorber weighs between 0.7kg and 2.25kg depending on size and has a density of about 2000 g/m². The surface is a durable compact needle felt with a lightly mottled textile feel. Mounting options

SilentDirect PES Ceiling offers several mounting options that make installation easy and flexible, regardless of the type of attachment you prefer.

Without mounting accessories
If you choose this option, no mounting accessories are included. This gives you full freedom to choose the fastening method that suits your needs – for example glue, screws, or your own solution.

With brackets
When choosing bracket mounting, 2 brackets are included for each sound absorber in size 592x592mm and 3 brackets for each absorber in sizes 1200x600mm and 1200x900mm. There are two types of brackets to choose from: flush brackets and distance brackets. Flush brackets fasten the absorber directly against the ceiling, while distance brackets create a 50mm air gap between the absorber and ceiling for enhanced sound absorption.

With wire
When choosing wire suspension, 5 wire kits are included per sound absorber. Each kit contains a spiral spring, a 200 cm wire with a loop at one end, and a carabiner with an adjustable clamp. Please note that ceiling hooks are not included – these should be selected based on the mounting system suitable for your ceiling.

What is the difference between flush and distance brackets?

The choice between flush and distance brackets is primarily about aesthetic preferences versus acoustic performance. Flush brackets mount the absorber directly to the ceiling with no air gap. This gives a sleek, discreet look with the absorber dropping about 50 mm from the ceiling – corresponding to the product’s thickness.

Distance brackets, on the other hand, extend an additional 50 mm and create an effective air gap between the absorber and ceiling. This results in a total drop of about 100 mm. The air gap improves sound absorption, especially in rooms with high ceilings or where maximum acoustic performance is desired.

In summary, distance brackets are recommended for best sound absorption. Flush brackets are the best choice if you want a more discreet, ceiling-close installation. The choice depends on what balance you prefer between aesthetics and function.
