SilentDirect Polaric by the meter is a professional, high-density soundproofing mat designed to block structure-borne noise, vibrations, and airborne sound in both buildings and vehicles. The product is now sold by the meter in 50 cm widths, giving you complete freedom to customize the quantity and format to suit your project’s needs. Choose from three different thicknesses—2 mm, 2.5 mm, and 4 mm—to achieve the right balance between weight, coverage, and damping.

The mat’s core consists of moldable butyl compound that combines high weight with flexibility, making it effective in all acoustic applications where mass is key to sound reduction. The surface is reinforced with embossed aluminum, providing both durability and moisture resistance. The self-adhesive backing simplifies installation, and the material can be easily cut to size with a knife to fit even the most challenging surfaces.

The material is moldable and easily conforms to curved or irregular surfaces, making it possible to soundproof even tight spaces such as engine hoods, equipment cabinets, or technical installations.

For long-lasting and secure attachment—especially on ceilings or porous surfaces—we recommend supplementing with staples, screws, nails, or mounting adhesive. The product can be cut into sections to simplify handling and ensure even weight distribution. The self-adhesive surface is moisture-sensitive and should not be installed on constantly damp surfaces without additional fastening.
