Mounting options

SilentDirect PES Ceiling offers multiple mounting options for easy and flexible installation, no matter your preferred attachment method.

Without mounting hardware
If you choose this option, no mounting hardware is included. This gives you full freedom to choose your own attachment method based on your needs – such as glue, screws, or a custom solution.

With brackets
If you select bracket mounting, 2 brackets are included for each 592x592mm absorber and 3 brackets for each 1200x600mm and 1200x900mm absorber. There are two types of brackets to choose from: flush brackets and spacer brackets. Flush brackets attach the absorber tightly to the ceiling, while spacer brackets create a 50mm air gap between the absorber and ceiling for increased sound absorption.

With wire
If you select wire suspension, 5 wire kits are included per absorber. Each kit contains a spiral spring, a 200cm long wire with a loop at one end, and a carabiner with an adjustable clamp. Note that ceiling hooks are not included – you must choose those separately based on your ceiling system.

What’s the difference between flush and spacer brackets?

The choice between flush and spacer brackets is mainly about aesthetic preferences versus acoustic performance. Flush brackets mount the absorber directly to the ceiling with no air gap. This gives a clean, discreet look, with the absorber extending about 50mm from the ceiling – corresponding to the product’s thickness.

Spacer brackets, on the other hand, add an additional 50mm and create an effective air gap between the absorber and the ceiling. This results in a total drop of about 100mm. The air gap enhances sound absorption, especially in rooms with high ceilings or where maximum acoustic performance is desired.

In summary, spacer brackets are recommended for the best sound absorption. Flush brackets are the best option if you prefer a more discreet, close-to-ceiling installation. The choice depends on the balance you want between aesthetics and function.
