Mounting options

SilentDirect PES Ceiling offers several mounting options that make installation easy and flexible, regardless of your preferred type of fastening.

Without mounting details
If you choose this option, no mounting details are included. This gives you complete freedom to choose your own fastening method based on your circumstances – for example, glue, screws, or your own solution.

With brackets
If you choose bracket mounting, 2 brackets are included brackets for each sound absorber measuring 592x592mm and 3 brackets for each absorber in sizes 1200x600mm and 1200x900mm. There are two types of brackets to choose from: Dictan brackets and spacer brackets. Dictan brackets attach the absorber tightly to the ceiling, while spacer brackets create a 50mm air gap between the absorber and the ceiling for increased sound absorption.

With wire
When choosing wire suspension, 5 wire kits per sound absorber. Each kit contains a coil spring, a 200 cm long wire with an eye at one end, and a carabiner with an adjustable clamp. Please note that hooks for the ceiling are not included – you choose these yourself based on which mounting system suits your ceiling.

What is the difference between Dictan brackets and spacer brackets?

The choice between Diktan and spacer brackets is mainly a matter of aesthetic preferences versus acoustic performance. Diktan brackets mount the absorber directly to the ceiling without an air gap. This gives a stylish, discreet look where the absorber is mounted approximately 50 mm from the ceiling – corresponding to the thickness of the product.

Spacer brackets, on the other hand, extend a further 50 mm, creating an effective air gap between the absorber and the ceiling. This brings the total extension to approximately 100 mm. This air gap improves sound absorption, especially in rooms with high ceilings or where maximum acoustic performance is desired.

In summary, spacer brackets are recommended for the best sound absorption. Dictan brackets are the best option if you want a more discreet, ceiling-close installation. The choice therefore depends on the balance you want between aesthetics and function.
