Acoustic wall art - Poppies in the sun

Acoustic wall art – Poppies in the sun for a quieter room and softer acoustics

SilentDirect’s acoustic wall art Poppies in the sun combines an acoustic solution with wall decoration in a single product. The solid pine frame is filled with recycled polyester, which helps to absorb disruptive sound reflections.

This has a noticeable effect in rooms where noise levels can quickly become high, such as kitchens, living rooms, open-plan offices or meeting rooms. The panel helps to reduce perceived sound levels and create a more pleasant acoustic environment.

Place the panel where you experience a lot of echo or high noise levels, such as in open-plan spaces, home offices or communal areas. Designs in this category work particularly well in rooms where you want to create a cohesive and well-thought-out atmosphere. Floral motifs add subtle detail and natural colour transitions that make the room welcoming and vibrant without overwhelming the overall space.

Design that enhances the room – both visually and acoustically
The acoustically effective construction helps to reduce harsh echoes and create a softer overall feel in the room. The balanced absorption makes the sound feel softer and improves the room’s acoustics in living rooms and offices as well as in bedrooms and public spaces. At the same time, the high-quality printing technology enhances the motif’s light, colours and details, creating a harmonious feel in the room.

Premium printing on polyester or cotton fabric
The Poppies in the sun design is reproduced with high colour accuracy and rich detail thanks to HP Latex technology. Printing is carried out using water-based, odourless and GREENGUARD Gold-certified inks, delivering a resolution of up to 300 DPI. The colours are UV-resistant and retain their vibrancy even in bright rooms, making the print suitable for both home and public environments.

Polyester canvas
The polyester canvas (260 g/m²) provides a smooth, modern surface with high colour accuracy, excellent UV resistance and a surface that can be gently wiped with a damp, soft cloth. The result is a modern, clear and colourful look that lasts over time.

Cotton canvas
The cotton canvas (260 g/m²) offers a classic, matt texture with natural warmth and a hand-painted character. To preserve the fine texture, it should be air-dried. Regardless of the fabric material, HP Latex inks fuse into the weave, creating a durable, flexible surface that retains its colour intensity over time.

High-density acoustic core with proven performance
The sound-absorbing core consists of at least 50 per cent recycled polyester with a density of 450–600 g/m². The material effectively captures sound waves and reduces reverberation in the room. A 4 mm protective panel made of CE, M1 and PEFC-certified wood is fitted to the rear to provide stability and a durable construction. The combination of canvas, core material and protective panel provides even sound absorption that improves speech intelligibility, concentration and general well-being.

Sturdy frame, precise canvas tension and elegant edge printing
Each panel is mounted on a solid pine frame. Sizes up to 70×50 cm have a 15 mm frame, whilst sizes from 90×60 cm and upwards have a 20 mm frame. The precise canvas tension ensures the board retains its shape over time. The Poppies in the sun motif is printed all the way around the frame, creating a stylish gallery look where the board is just as beautiful from the side as it is from the front. The combination of taut canvas, clean lines and precise printing ensures a professional finish.

Easy hanging
To make hanging simple and straightforward, all prints are fitted with 6–8 CNC-milled keyholes on the back, depending on size. This provides extra-stable hanging without the need for additional frames or special hooks. Usually, one or two screws per panel are sufficient for secure mounting, saving time and making installation simple.

Acoustics, quality and a sense of cohesion
Acoustic wall art from SilentDirect helps to create a more cohesive acoustic environment where disruptive reverberation is reduced and conversations are heard more clearly. By combining acoustic functionality with carefully selected materials and premium printing, you get a solution that both improves the sound environment and enhances the impression of the room.
