Environmentally friendly, safe and allergy-friendly

SilentDirect PES Ceiling is made of 100% polyester, of which at least 30% is recycled material. The product is completely free from glue, irritating fibers and harmful chemicals, making it particularly suitable for sensitive indoor environments such as schools, healthcare facilities and homes. It is allergy-friendly, odorless and mold-resistant, and is not negatively affected by humidity – making it a safe choice in environments where both health and sustainability are key. The product is fire rated according to B-s1, d0 and CE marked in accordance with several European building product standards.

SilentDirect PES Ceiling is available in three sizes: 592x592mm, 1200x600mm and 1200x900mm – all with a thickness of 50mm. The smaller size is compatible with suspended ceiling grids, while the larger ones can be freely mounted with any suspension method. The absorber weighs between 0.7kg and 2.25kg depending on size and has a density of approximately 2000 g/m². The surface is a durable compact needle felt with a lightly mottled textile feel. Mounting options

SilentDirect PES Ceiling offers several mounting options that make installation easy and flexible, regardless of which attachment type you prefer.

Without mounting accessories
If you choose this option, no mounting accessories are included. This gives you full freedom to choose your own fastening method – such as glue, screws, or your own solution.

With mounting brackets
When choosing bracket mounting, 2 mounting brackets are included for each sound absorber in the size 592x592mm and 3 mounting brackets for each absorber in sizes 1200x600mm and 1200x900mm. There are two bracket types to choose from: flush brackets and distance brackets. Flush brackets attach the absorber tightly to the ceiling, while distance brackets create a 50mm air gap between the absorber and ceiling for increased sound absorption.

With wire
When choosing wire suspension, 5 wire kits are included per sound absorber. Each kit contains a spiral spring, a 200 cm long wire with a loop at one end, and a carabiner with adjustable clamp. Note that ceiling hooks are not included – you choose these yourself based on the fastening system suitable for your ceiling.

What is the difference between flush and distance brackets?

The choice between flush and distance brackets is mainly about aesthetic preference versus acoustic performance. Flush brackets mount the absorber directly to the ceiling without an air gap. This gives a sleek, discreet appearance where the absorber extends about 50mm from the ceiling – matching the product’s thickness.

Distance brackets, on the other hand, add an additional 50mm and create an effective air gap between the absorber and ceiling. This means the total drop is about 100mm. This air gap improves sound absorption, especially in spaces with high ceilings or where maximum acoustic performance is desired.

In summary, distance brackets are recommended for best sound absorption. Flush brackets are the best option if you prefer a more discreet, ceiling-close installation. The choice depends on the balance you want between aesthetics and function.
