Sound Absorption for Walls – PES Wall for Better Acoustics and Increased Comfort
SilentDirect PES Wall is an effective wall absorber designed to reduce reverberation, echoes, and disruptive sound reflections in all types of indoor environments. By installing sound absorbers on walls, sound waves are captured before they have a chance to bounce off the room’s hard surfaces, creating a quieter, more pleasant, and functional acoustic environment. SilentDirect PES Wall is available both in a Basic version with a visible white polyester surface and in a fabric-covered version with removable fabric covers. The fabric-covered models are available in white, gray, black, blue, beige, red, turquoise, green, light gray, and brown, making it easy to match the sound absorber to the room’s interior design and visual aesthetic. All versions are built around the same high-performance core of needle-punched polyester with a thickness of 50 mm.

Multiple Installation Options
SilentDirect PES Wall can be ordered with several different installation solutions depending on wall type, aesthetic preferences, and acoustic requirements.
Without mounting accessories
This option provides complete freedom to use your own mounting method, such as adhesive, screws, or another solution tailored to the wall’s construction.
With mounting brackets
When installing with mounting brackets, 4 brackets are included with each sound absorber. Choose between mounting brackets with a 0 mm gap for wall-hugging installation or mounting brackets with a 50 mm gap, which create an approximately 50 mm air gap between the wall and the sound absorber. The air gap contributes to improved sound absorption.
With concealed mounting brackets
The sound absorber can also be supplied with CNC-milled keyhole brackets made of MDF, which are permanently glued to the back using 100% solid, solvent-free adhesive. The number of brackets is tailored to the panel’s size and provides a stable and discreet installation without visible hardware.

The choice between mounting brackets—0 mm thickness and mounting brackets—50 mm spacing is a matter of balancing aesthetics and acoustic performance.
Mounting brackets – 0 mm clearance mount the absorber directly against the wall and protrude approximately 50 mm, creating a sleek and discreet look.
Mounting brackets – 50 mm spacing extend an additional approximately 50 mm and create an air gap between the wall and the sound absorber. The total projection is then approximately 100 mm, which further improves sound absorption, especially in rooms with pronounced wall reflections.
In summary, mounting brackets with a 50mm spacing provide the best acoustic performance, while mounting brackets with 0mm spacing are the best choice when a more wall-hugging and discreet installation is prioritized.

Acoustic Test: Before and After with PES Sound Absorbers
The test was conducted in a 24 m² studio measuring 4 x 6 meters. A total of 4.026 m² of SilentDirect PES sound absorbers were installed in the room, corresponding to approximately 16.8% of the floor area. The absorbers were placed on both the ceiling and walls to reduce echo, reverberation, and harsh sound reflections.

Ja, ljudabsorbering kan absolut passa bra i ett stort rum med högt i tak. I sådana rum brukar ljudet ofta studsa mellan hårda ytor som tak, väggar, golv och fönster, vilket kan ge lång efterklang och en bullrig känsla i rummet.
Vi rekommenderar i första hand att placera ljudabsorbenter i taket, eftersom takytan ofta ger bäst effekt i förhållande till antalet absorbenter. Det är särskilt effektivt i rum med högt i tak, där ljudet annars får stor volym att röra sig i. Takmonterade ljudabsorbenter hjälper till att minska efterklang, förbättra taluppfattningen och göra rummet behagligare att vistas i.
Hur många ljudabsorbenter som behövs beror bland annat på rummets storlek, takhöjd, material på golv och väggar, mängden möbler samt hur mycket efterklang ni upplever i dag.
